Shorty clutch lever for a '19 ec300
I did a search and read some older posts but didn't find anything definitive, what'll cross over to suit a '19 that's short?
And no, I'm not cutting my current lever :D |
Midwest do one I think. I was looking at them but decided to try my lever further over on the bars first to see if that fitted my style better

Don't waste your time with the Midwest lever.
The engagement point is all wrong. Here's a two finger lever. Only the lever comes with this. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

Do you have a part number for the lever as Amazon US won't sell to us lowly folk in Australia :( |

Buy a spare lever and chop it off. That's what I did with mine. I milled a flat on the back side and fitted a bent piece of stainless by shaping the piece and screwing it to the rear side. You just need to make the cut so it is positioned for your own "two finger" width.

I liked their shipping prices so much I bought a pair of Renthals for one of my Bandits,If the bars are a nice fit I might buy another pair of the same for the other Bandit. :D Thanks again gasgasman  |
Riddle me this:
Midwest mountain engineering lists the same part number for gg ec300 2018 as several mid 2000s KTMs. Does this mean that levers that suit those models will crossover with the Gasgas? Yes I am bored, can you tell |

Yes. I had one on my '18. Never could get used to it. Engagement was very vague. |
I had one too and while it made the clutch pull lighter I too could not get used to it. I found its shape was just to fat. Sold it after two rides...

I met the owner at a trail ride in Minnesota. He was selling them at his pop-up canopy.
I asked him about them and his company, and he said that his full-time gig was with a medical start-up, and that he hadn't been paid in a while, and that he didn't know if the company was going to make it. I felt bad for him, so I bought two levers - one for each of my daughters. They put them on their 200 exc KTMs, and loved them - mostly for lighter clutch pull. They don't care much about engagement feel, and i've not used his lever, so hard to comment there. Basically, i bought them to help a brother out. Gutsy move to start this company when he might be losing his other gig. |
His customer service really sucks.
They have a 30 day return policy. I sent my lever back after less that 6hrs, brand new '18 bike, he said it was totally worn out. Wouldn't do anything for me. Then wanted $30 to ship it back to me. |
Wow. That DOES suck. Sorry to hear that.
So, did he end up keeping your lever? I think that i paid $100 for two levers. $30 shipping on a $50 lever is supremely bogus. I think it was around 2011 when i interacted with him. (ouch! 9 years ago.) I guess a person's true character shows not at the purchase, but when problems arise. Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. Bummer. |
