It's been a few years since I've been there but it was just like I remember good people, good ride going up and down every frigg'n mountain in NY!!!. Had bike problems both days. On Day one the bike was running like crap. I sat out the first half on Sat. trying to figure it out. We finally changed out the spark plug cap and it ran like a jewel, until the rear brake broke. It ain't fun going down them hills with no rear brake. We fixed it at gas and rode the rest of the day out.

It was my first ride there, it was a lot of fun and some damn tough terrain. For me anyways......sorry to hear you had bike problems. I had some myself with the charging system but nothing that stopped me.

Missed this one, have not been in a few years but will be there next. Running all the ECEA enduros this year a weekend off the bike is nice to have. How wet was it?

Danj56 08-05-2013 08:51 PM

It was muddy but not too bad.

V I have been riding up in Hancock for 20+ years and this was definitely one of the top weekends for trails and weather. Not sure of the number of people who showed up but it seemed light because there were no real backups on any of the hills etc... Although that could have been due to the lack of nonstop pouring rain like we usually have for the quarry run! Lol Glantern it was cool running into you that was as well. At the gas break on day two I met a guy with a beautiful 11 nambotin and a 11 six days as well. There were a few of us there representing! GL in the future we should meet up at st Claire and spend the day riding up there. The bike I purchased from Glenn ran flawless both days. I have now put about 25 hours on it and am really getting comfortable for the most part. I was riding with many xcw300's and 350f's not a one of them could pull away anywhere that's how we'll this 07 is running. My only complaint is I feel too tall for my gassers and I'm only 5'11". When I'm standing I just feel like I have to hunch to get down to a comfortable position for logs or trail trash etc... or bend my knees to the point that after 60 minutes your thighs are burning .... Guess I'll try risers but so many quick guys seem against them for some reason. Maybe it changes the steering angle ?

Sounds like a plan I wouldn't mind meeting up and riding around! I think risers are a good idea personally I have to hunch a bit on mine too and have been considering them. Being able to stand straight up I feel makes a big difference.
