2013 XC200R Exhaust
Does anyone have the part number for the 2013 XC200R expansion chamber? I can't find it listed on the GasGas website and I believe it is supposed to be different than the 250/300, is it not?
Wes. |
Did you wad it up already?
Does anyone know if the pipe(expansion chamber) on the 200 is the same as the 250/300 for the 13 model year???? Can't find this info anywhere!
Or anyone with a 13 200 have the part# off there pipe??
Difference
The 200 does have a different part number for the 2012 n 13 bikes.
BE85000012012 is the part number where as the 250,300 is #BE85000013012 sorry I didn't see this post earlier. |
Thanks so much mark much appreciated
Just FYI my 12 came with the 3012 pipe, it runs great with it.

Fact the 200 pipe cost's twice as much as a 250/300 pipe.
That is the main reason why I stopped considering a 200. This pipe mess has been going on since 2007 when they sent a bike with a wrong pipe to a British mag for testing, and it got a bad review for power.
They've had problems with this since 07???? This quality control thing is down right out of hand. This should never happen
Go to the sticky and find the bike tests, its right here.
Ya Wes sent it to me, back in 07 just rediclous !
Has anyone heard anything from Spain on if they are aware of the part numbers and people with 200's having the wrong pipes on there bikes???? Clay, mark any word? If so are they prepared to do anything for the individuals who have this problem??

this to me. Why it costs so much more??? |
I hear you John but too me it doesn't matter what the cost is to gasgas they sold a bike from the factory with the wrong component not designed for that bike. If they sold me a bike with a 19" wheel on it and told me it was cheaper and that's what I get I would laugh and say ill never buy one of your bikes again! Thanks for your great customer service and quality control. Weather or not some are happy with the 250 pipe is irrelevant, the WRONG pipe is on this bike and shouldn't be acceptable to the people who have purchased one. It's not fair to them and isn't what they paid for period.
The cost from Greenland mx is 465 euros which is also absolutely outrageous! People should know that if you buy a 200 and want the right pipe on it it will cost you upward of 700 dollars to replace a part that is commonly damaged!
$700 pipe, absolute insanity! Anyone with half a brain will check spares prices before buying. If thats not a sales killer what is?
It's really too bad, my bro was friggin pumped to get this bike and to find the wrong part plus the cost to go along with it is just plain disappointing. Not to mention the factory missed lacing 3 spokes on the rear wheel????? I mean come on
Missing spokes? Really? Is it me or does it seem like we get the QC fallouts here in North America lately? I don't hear the Euro guys reporting this stuff.
Buy a well sorted used one. |
This is a crap deal for everyone involved.
Do you have access to an FMF Gnarly pipe for a 250/300? That pipe is definitely smaller through the mid pipe than the stock pipe is and was designed for bottom end. If you have access to one, it might be worthwhile trying it?
Another 200 trick is adding header volume with a spacer behind the spigot, or modding the pipe itself. I've also heard from a guy who raced them that a larger ID silencer helps. I'd try the Cannon as it works real well on the 250.

Thanks for the tips and suggestions guys. I'm working through this with Clay and Mark, hope to have a resolution soon.
