You can buy a kit for $30.

Or you can get a syringe from the cooking section of Walmart.

First thing I do is blow out the bad juice as normal, down. Filling the reservoir as needed.

When the fluid coming out is clean, then I reverse the process. I suck out the fluid in the reservoir using a (um, turkey baster). Then I safety wire a flexy tube on the syringe and place the tube on the nipple. The real flexible silicone tubing is best. I fill the syringe with DOT4 fluid, attach it to the nipple, and pump it up the system. You'll possibly see that there might be a lot of micro bubbles that regular bleeding will miss. Do that until the bubbles stop. Button everything up and test the system.

BTW, I did 40 miles of some really rocky hill climbs (shallow, but long). I noticed the clutch slipping (was it getting hot?) in the middle of long climbs. I'll take it apart tomorrow to see if everything is all right.

Golly, talk about thread dredge.

Filing up the grooves on the inner basket and sharp edges on the steels did work on my old 200.

Now 10 year later my 300 might need some work.

i tried the filing thing once, got about half way round the first plate and decided it didn't drag that badly ... and anyway its all about the momentum!
