Fork Seal Tune up

I have a 2005 EC 300.Thinking about doing the seals in the shiver forks.
Do I need any special tools .If so where can I buy them?:)

The only special tools would be a proper sized seal driver to drive in the bottom bushing and fork seal and a tool to measure oil height. Both are available from Motion Pro.

You can "home brew" both of these tools but in my experience every tool I ever "made" ended up costing way more (if you consider your time is worth anything) and didn't work as well anyway.

Here's a pretty good video from Rocky Mtn. ATV

I did it myself except the seal install part. Disassemble and clean it all up then slide the new seals on and take to your local Husqvarna shop. That's what I did here (they use the Shivers also). My local dealer didn't even charge me, only took him about 30 seconds each side. Beats buying a tool that rarely would get used. Or in my case by next time I'd have a differant bike and need a differant driver.

Thats what I did ... I tried to homebrew a seal driver but it wasn't going to happen. I brought it to a suzuki dealer, dude walked out back and came back in 30 seconds and handed it too me.

The Zoke seals are a tight fit in the sliders. I warm the sliders until they are hot enough to be untouchable with the bare hand. With the driver, they then go right in.
