Snow riding in Iceland

5 Attachment(s)
Did some hard packed snow riding this weekend here in Iceland. Amazing weather and plenty of hard packed snow in Bl?fj?ll (Blue mountains). Awesome until the TM racing 300 that my friend have killed a piston.

Most of the time you can't see the gas-gas since I m riding it until I got stuck trying to go through the overlaping snow at the top :D

Here are few pictures from the Go-Pro :)

Videos will be later !

Gotta richen up for cold air ! I rode last weekend too and my bike was just a bit lean at WFO, so I was shifting early all day. Love the 300 for that.
When conditions are right, snow/ice with spikes is way better than dirt. I absolutely love having almost 100% confidence that my front wheel will stick. :)

TM racing 300

The TM racing is quite good bike. Compared to the Gas Gas the power is quite similar, handling is different the gas gas is more nimble in tight canyons and between rocks but on high speed the TM is better. Head shakes and deflection of the steering when hitting rocks is way less then on the GG. At least until I installed the steering damper :D

The gearbox is also just 5 speed setup similar as MX bikes. I quite like those bikes but when it comes to spare parts and accessories it is an nightmare at least here in Iceland. The variety is nothing compared to GG let alone KTM or the jap bikes.

P.s. Videos will be here in the weekend when I have time to upload them to youtube ;)
