I just looked at the photos again. The frame looks like the 2011 frame. Was the 2011 frame carried over for the 4 strokes? Is this a 2013?

The thumpers continue on with 'B' frame and body work.

I think that would be an interesting bike. Too much $$ for something beat to crap in the six days though.

Looking closely that bike is a sum of all pretty good parts. The motor, fork, proven frame, also has the new linkage design. I'm sure its heavier than it should be but the Yamaha WR is a little piggy too.

For you kickstand guys, remember what I said about a double sided bracket solving the bolt problems? Look closely at the pics.

Cool bike for someone but I'm sure it's seen some hard riding!

Moto7man 05-20-2013 02:58 PM

I'm a two stroke guy now, but that thing looks very cool.

That is John Maier's bike.

I'll bet that bike is a lot more effective than most realize. I'm just not Woooed by fresh plastic and an oil change.

Forgive me if this a stupid question but Why would they use the Yamaha engine on a gasser especially in a competition setting ?
