Check your nuts! (or should i say bolts)...

Prob common knowledge but I have had many bikes and never run into this situation before, guess i will have to be more diligent about checking all the hardware on my bike before every ride (this is at 14hrs and i have lost several other misc. bolts).

Needs some loctite!

Same thing happened on my '18 XC250. Felt front brake get weaker, thought it was air in the system(disc had lateral movement). Turns out 5 out of 6 front rotor bolts were loose. Loctited front & back & no probs since.

In 138 hours I've also nearly lost a pipe mount bolt(sitting on cases unbelievably), lost a rear spoke, just recently lost a chain guide bolt & a loose plug. Mostly my fault TBH.

I didn't feel anything in the brake but heard a squeaking that i thought was the pads getting wet (seemed to happen when i hit puddles and didn't see the screw right away). once i got home and was washing the bike I noticed the screws loose. Going to have to drill and tap the hub for the one that was rubbing, but the worst (and prob hard to see in the pic) is that it wore down the bottom of the fork and got very close to the tube, likly going to fill it in with some jb weld or something and deff lock tite the screws.

Don't risk your safety.
Get a new fork lug.

Same here. Couldn't figure out what the rattling was coming from the back of my GP300 until it stopped.
I lost the rear tail light lens.
Expensive to replace because you have to buy the whole tail light.

I recently bought one of these and installed as my rear lights as no lights were installed on the bike.

It's fine and serves the purpose at a cheap price:

Yeah, I checked them out before buying the OEM tail light assy.
The Edge tail kit has a tail light very similar to the original & 2/3 the price.

Thanks 2smokin,
All my rotor bolts were loose but hadn't backed out.Never thought to check them. All sorted with Loktite.

a tip for picking up loose sprocket nuts (may also apply to rotors) is seeing dirty water marks radiating out from the nuts
