Suggestion for the users of this site.

Many users profiles on this site do not contain their location. I know there are many secret agents out their that don't want to divulge their location and compromise their mission, ;) but for responding to people it just seems better to know where their at in the states or world. It gives you more of a connection to know a bit about them and the kind of climate they ride in. Anyways, I feel we as users can help improve this site by adding that info to our profiles.

I agree

As a newbie here I Concur with you REVERUP .:D
On other sites I contribute to , there is always a element of secret agents .
And they are always the most opinionated .
Because they can hide behind their veil of secrecy .

On some Gardening sites they even have a Google map of where they live .
That is probably going to far .
I feel a Town / City , State and Country would be helpful .
Any other feelings on this ? Kell ( Yes that’s MY REAL name );)

Kell, I haven't seen any google maps on the gardening sites I frequent. I am a Landscape Supervisor and visit them regularly. LOL, just kidding, well I am truly a Landscape supervisor. Even when I'm not at work and I'm on my GAS GAS I'm changing the landscape. Well um, I mean I tread lightly to all you greeny's out there reading this.

I did notice that you hadn't added your location to your profile yet. Are you serious or just mocking me! Its easy to do and you can do it any time. Log in and go to the user cp at the top of the board and go in to it and I'm sure you can figure it out from there.
I personally think its cool to know where the people we all have something in common with and spend our valuable time posting opinions and tech with live and ride. It was purely just a suggestion and is, no doubt, optional for everyone.:)

I'm Serious

Hi Roscoe .
I was not mocking you .
I was deadly serious .
During my signing up 2 weeks ago I put everything on .
I'm guessing that was to sign up & not for the Public viewing .
Sorry my mistake . I'm wanting to put up an Avatar as well .
Today I'm climbing The 2nd highest Mountain in SE Queensland .
We set off at 4am . It is now 2.22 am .
Mount Barney here I come . Kell

I didn't figure you were mocking me but I had to ask cause your profile was empty. I see it is filled in now, Australia. I had a family in my motorcycle club that came to the U.S. from Australia to live. The Dad (Greg Butler) came here to work at Microsoft then got transfered back to Australia after a few years in our club one as President of the club. I have seen many pictures of your riding and terrain it looks excellent, and have be told some great story's of what its like there. I have never been there but always have been interested.

It is Saturday at 9:55 AM here in Washington state USA.
Have fun today climbing, be safe! Roscoe

Thanks for the pep talk. I went and updated my personal info after reading your post. I plan on sticking around here for a long time as I am an official GG convert.

Good to hear lukachuki. I really like your signature picture, very cool.

Just thought I would bump this up for those new on here. Even if only one more person adds there location to their profile I feel like I did my part to help enhance all users experience on here.

Adding your location to your user profile is easy and can really help add to the connection we as users have on this site. For tech style questions location can be very important, as can be for things for sale etc.

No it's not mandatory but I think most agree it definitely improves the forum.
After all this is The Gas Gas Riders Club... For and By Gas Gas Riders Worldwide. :)

I also like seeing where people are from. I can relate to those from the areas of the planet I've ridden.

Kell, I remember the IFDE Australia (Tararalagon) in 2000. I say IFDE because the rain and flooding was so bad they deleted a day, the international FIVE days enduro. Shane Watts beat everybody on his 125.
