Trailtech Speedo Sensor Mounting
Hi Guys,
How have you mounted your aftermarket speedometer sensor? Do I need to make a cutout in the fork guard (as the Trailtech instructions seem to show) or is there another more seamless option? Thanks, Jeff |
Which bike Jeff? Trail tech speedos can use standard gasser/Ktm style speedo pick ups into the caliper mount.

Awesome! Thanks much Nate. I purchased the wrong kit - but didn't know it. I have the Striker "generic for inverted forks".
The Trailtech website shows Gasgas up to 2016, and then 20-21. So weird - nothing for the 2018-19 XC300. I'll go check my caliper for a mounting hole - but if you say it works, it must! since I think you have the EC, and our bikes have the same calipers/brakes, etc. Thanks for saving me from making a mistake! No worries mate, they have had the same m8 hole in the bracket for years.
|
Same situation for me.. Working on an '11 6d that has a Vapor with only the tach signal hooked up.
Does the Galfer rotor matter? I'm guessing the KTM wheel speed sensor for USD forks & the GG magnet & bracket that bolts to the hub? Am I correct? |
Yep that should work. Some aftermarket discs do not have the hole for the late magnet drilled in but you can bolt up the old style bracket and magnet to the hub.

Thanks Brother Gasser for watching these old threads & answering these questions for us.

No worries at all mate. Happy to help keep the proper Gassers on the dirt!
