My 2001 gas gas ec is so bad on fuel
 

Hey guys my 2001 gas gas ec 200 used to be amazing on fuel until recently it?s just using way to much. The lads I ride with have KTM?s exc 300 by the time they?ve got half tank mines pretty much all gone what can I do to help this? Thanks guys

I will not claim to be an expert here, but check for a stuck float or broken/frayed reeds.

Hey guys I’ve checked my reeds and float height and everything seems to be fine. I’m at a total loss

Perhaps it just leaks? My 06 model did leak through the carb overflow hoses when leaning over, e.g. when on the sidestand.

You said it was good a while ago and just started recently. Did you change anything?

Hey mate so during the first lockdown I done the 2011 conversation kit to it and since then The fuel has been awful

I would start by replacing the float needle.


Not saying this is your problem, but it is cheap, easy to source, and needs to be done periodically anyway.

Definitely changed the needle and seat.

The seat is not easy to change on a PWK. You can clean up the seat by chucking up a Q-tip in a drill, dip it in tooth paste and "drill it" to clean up the brass seat surface.
