2006 Marzocchi shiver 45mm outer tube crossfit

Hi

I have a ding on my outer tube, just where the seal is seated.
Tried to straighten it out but the tube cracked, welded and grinded but got a to big seal seat. Leaks alot of oil.

Looking to buy a new outer tube, the only ones i have found are the ones from husky shivers. They look identical. Anyone have knowledge about the husky outer tube? They take a month to ship so it better fit!

Any clues or good ideas?

The Husky forks probably wont fit. You'll run into axle fit issues.

e-bay has some forks for sale.

Cheers gasgasman.
So you think marzocchi shiver outer tubes on the husky be different?
They use the same seals so i thought the only issue could be the fit in the tripple clamp.

Im only looking to change the outer tube.

I'm sorry. I misread your post.:(

The Husky outer tubes would probably be the same.
To save manufacturing costs, I doubt Marzocchi would have different tubes.

I have ordered husky outer tubes. I will write later how they fit if ever anybody else break there outer tubes.

:)Ok, so I finally managed to put new outer tubes on my fork. The husky tubes where almost identical, but where little bit wider in the lower clamp. Was super snug so i had to bend the lower clamps abit when fitting the forks. Might have been 1mm wider in the lower clamp. But all else was the same.
The tubes got stuck in customs for like 2 months, so it was a bit of a hassle.
If anybody ever need to change outertubes, husky shivers will work.

You may want to take some accurate measurements of the OD of each fork tube (old vs. new) to ascertain if the diameters differ at all. You may have issues with the action of the fork and/or premature wear of the fork components if the clamp was not designed for that specific diameter of tube at the lower clamp. ie. binding

It would be a simple enough to have the lower clamps machined to the correct ID if needed.
