2012 ec300 speedo / tacho malfunction
 

hi, i recently bought a 2012 ec300, the previous owner said that the manufacturer fit red speedo unit had stopped working.
the day after buying the bike i reconnected the speedo unit and the screen lights up but the screen is blank with nothing at all displayed on it.
is the screen broken ? im assuming its been water damaged.

It could be

I would have simply thrown a new battery in it and tried to go through the manual.

You can also depress the small recessed red button on the back to reset it which sometimes helps.

If neither of those work I'd simply buy a replacement. They are just Trail Tech Vector with a GG sticker on them.
