WTB-Front Brake Nissin Master Cylinder 2010 or later.

I love the front brake on my 2011 Gasser so, I decided to put a GG master cylinder on my 94 CR250. I am looking for a 2010 or later GG master cylinder for a reasonable price.:)

I think it’s the same as newish Japanese mx bikes. Not sure what years though but probably easier to source

The important factor is the bore size cast into to bottom of the housing.

Ok, But are the newer japanese master cylinders as strong as the euro bikes? I have heard jap brakes are not that strong.

It seems that piston bore has a significant effect on the feel at the lever, with smaller pistons giving sharper feel and more pressure at the caliper, and larger ones feeling firmer in the hand.

All Nissin masters are Japanese. I highly doubt they make a different one just for GG/Beta. From memory I believe that Honda used to run stronger calipers to Yamaha, but I haven't confirmed that myself. I imagine used Honda parts should be easy to come across though.

A quick google turned this up: https://thumpertalk.com/forums/topic...a-front-brake/

Just checked the couple I have here.

2010 Master is stamped 9T, and has the brake line coming out the back of the unit. (maybe 16mm bore)
2013 is stamped 1T and brake line runs the same way as above. (11mm bore)

The 2013 has always felt softer at the lever, but given stronger stopping power.

The 07 setup I have has what looks like 11 to me on it.
