Hi All

I found and bought a gas gas EC300 but cannot determine its exact model. It has the normal forks. The bike is in great nick! When was the last year model that came out with the normal forks? It has an 01 seat cover but I see the 01models has inverted forks.Any info will help!!

Probably a '00 EC300, as it has the plastic ignition cover. The '00 ECs (in the USA anyway) had conventional Zokes, XCs inverted WPs. Check the brakes, if they are Nissin brakes then its a '00. '99s and older had Brembos.

It appears that it has a mix of parts from different years. The seat, airbox door, and side panel are from an '01. In the USA all the '01s had inverted forks like they do today, and so did the '00s, or at least the XC models did.

The only way to be sure would be to look at the VIN stamped into the frame. They have VINs all over the world, right? There is a code for the model and model year.
