Jetting seem right?
After pulling my SC and putting the Keihin back on I decided I would check jetting on the carb. I never checked it since I bought the bike and it is running great as far as I am concerned. Does this combo seem right? I have checked the database and cannot really find anyone running the same. I ride between 600-2500? elevation.
2011 ec250 164 38 CGJ needle 2nd clip I had to get the old magnifying glass out to read the needle, but I?m pretty sure that?s what it said. Like I said, it runs good, minimal spooge if any. If anything it would be nice to have a little more snap on the bottom. |
Jetting Database Thread
Go to the jetting data base thread and start at page 11. Everyone has their jetting specs listed there. It has anything and everything right there. Its a wonderful resource.

I?ve browsed through the database and the jetting 101. I couldn?t find anyone with the 164 main or a listing of the needle I have. I?m still learning the jetting stuff. It runs good so I don?t want to mess with a good thing, just curious on the numbers.

Just curious - where are your idle mixture screw and your idle screw adjustment set? How many turns out for each one?

I will double check when I get home. If memory serves me though, I believe the AS is around 1.5. Idle is perfect at 1250rpms all day. I?ll chime back in later when I get off work.

AS 1-1/8
Idle 7 3/4 |
Plot thickens boys. Had some spare time to really take a look at this carb and settings. I?ll post this on the database thread as well just to document.

Anyone? Seem overly lean? I have no clue on how to interpret the needles.
