Rekluse Clutch Cover for 2018 MY
I am contemplating replacing the stock clutch over on my '18 XC250 with a Rekluse cover. It is rocky as a mother here in AZ and it is just a matter of time before the brake lever makes contact with the cover.
Rekluse claims added clearance and oil capacity with their cover. Any added benefit to these covers, other than durability? Any need to run additional oil volume with this cover? I have read that some people have had clearance issues with these covers in the past. Still an issue? My other thought is to add a fender washer and JB weld to the area adjacent to the brake lever. This would likely prevent a puncture from the lever tip, but with enough force it may just cause cracking/breakage around a larger area on the cover. Thoughts? |
I'm currently making some 0.08" thick plastic clutch cover protectors.
Fits right over the OEM cover. I'll try to post some pics. |

The Rekluse cover is billet aluminum and MUCH tougher than stock. It also comes with a different brake tip that is larger and a lot easier to find.

I did have to bend my pedal ever so slightly to get enough clearance to feel comfortable. I don’t have a picture of the Rekluse cover installed

If you ride rocks make sure you get a skid plate that covers the waterpump area like the SXS or TM designs. MotoCenter Arizona has the TM's in stock.

I like my SXS pretty well. My only complaint would be that I catch it with my boot where it protects the water pump.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...599f390449.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
