2018 XC 300.... Big Bore?
 

Moving into winter.. looking to do a full rebuild on this bike as i'm not currently interested in anything else on the market.

I wasn't happy with the power at 5k+ feet, got the jetting dialed and added an RK Tek head to get by. Now that the season is over, i'm still not totally satisfied with the power and would like more low end.

Does anyone have any information on a big bore kit? I searched the forum but there isn't much information for 18+ bikes.

Did you measure compression and squish after install of the new head? Is this a new head or did you have them machine your existing head?

Do you solely ride at over 5k in elevation?

I wouldn't go with a big bore to solve your problem...

What did you do to dial your jetting? Some solutions work better than others.

What is your gearing? Rear sprocket size.

Which pipe is on your bike?

Maybe an aftermarket pv cover might help.
