Marzocchi 48 parts

Hi all. So got a 2015 ec250 with the marzocchi 48 front forks. On one of the legs the top cap has come out. Upon taking the forks apart someone has completely ruined the inside behind the pfp spring just to hold the cap down.

Are there any aftermarket top caps or anything I could do to fix this? I've found the whole pfp damper online but it's like ?300. Which I don't want to spend.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks
Nick

I have a 2015 EC200 with the same forks. I am not aware of any third party solutions.

Sourcing OEM Marzocchi spare parts have proved to be difficult lately. Last time I needed a part, my Norwegian importer got parts from Gasgas in Spain, but that must be a couple of years ago now.

However, several of these bikes have been converted to KYB forks, so there ought to be some unloved Marzocchi fork legs laying around.

I hope so mate. Do people just change the complete legs to kyb or just the internals?

They usually replace the legs, or also the complete front end for Yamaha parts. However, there are a few that have mounted KYB internals in the Marzocchi legs.

I found a posting in a German offroad forum from a guy that repairs the pfp internals.

You might try to contact him.
