Expansion chamber

anyone tried fitting a kx expansion chamber to a ec300, got a cheap kx250 pipe available hoping it will fit with some mods re welding mounts etc

You know you can find a used pipe pretty reasonable, right? I even have a couple of good ones. What bike do you have?

Live in australia so bit more limited with options, new pipe from usa works out at about $400 inc freight.
Have chance to grab a brand new kx250 gnarly and powercore muffler for$200 but not sure if it can be made to fit my 2009 ec300.

No point putting a pipe designed for a 250 mxer on an enduro 300.
Spend a bit more or get someone to fix yours and you will be happier with the results.

cut that tube off, it's for emission regulations.
are you sure, this pipe doesn't have a restriction build in?
or a catalyc convertor like some bikes have from factory (also for emissions)?

Thanks for reply.I will cut it and weld it up.Seems hollow .I will try and look inside. Its heavier construction than the original rotted Messico.

It will have a catalytic converter that needs to be cut out. I THINK it is located at the large weld on the pipe.

What do you mean by large weld .Thanks .
