ive been helping him on this front wheel bearing issue ill try to get the numbers off the old ones later but one side of the wheel has a smaller bearing then the other side now i just put bearing in the front wheel of another buddies bike just like his 1998 ec 250 and they were both 6004 bearing but it has 50mm wp forks on it only difference i could see but the bike we are trying to put front wheel bearings in has metal seals in it installed backwards instead of the normal rubber coated seal ive never seen anything like it we have already tried gofasters got the same one that fit the other bike 6004

someone put shielded bearings in instead of sealed. (z or zz:1 or 2 sides shielded) what are the dimensions, i can look up a bearing number for you.

Moose racing sells a bearing kit and it was reasonable. Any Dealer can order

Moto-x 04-10-2011 05:29 PM

already tried the moose racing ones they sent us the 6004 bearings he is susposed to be bring bike back over tonight i'll try to take it apart tonight or tomorrow after work and get the old part numbers

most 'dirtbike' specific bearing kits are junk. just buy some quality bearings from a reputable manufacturer and be done with it. i don't think you would want shielded bearings in that application. just regular sealed will work fine.
