2000 Xc 250 wont start In mesa arizona

Ok here we go,
My bike will not start, here is the run down of what Ive done and any help you have to offer would be needed.
1 kick it over for a million times
2 drain all gas and put fresh pre mix in it
3 changed plugs
4 held new plug outside against head to look for spark,( no spark )
Backround
A week ago road it for 20 mins on this little trail close to my house
Was puting on the trailer and a strap broke bike fell over on the right side. I went to go riding this week no start. The kickstarter feels a little different but that could be me, looked for loose wires dont see any. Could the coil have gone bad, could the kill switch be acting up, has a stator ever been knocked loose, where to start any help.(Oh ya going to gordens well in 2 weeks gotta have the gas gas)
Thanks
Justin

First disconnect the kill switch and try it.

Next go through all your electrical connections, starting at the coil being it fell on that side (could it have hit the coil??). I crashed hard enough this summer to break the brake fluid resevoir off the frame with my knee brace, so a damged coil/wire is possible.

Check the HV wire connection to the coil and plug cap. There is a screw that just threads into the wire on each end. Sometimes this comes loose. You can cut a few mm off each side and thread the wire into the coil and the cap back on the wire. Use a little silicone RTV to seal it.

It may have hit the coil not sure no visable damage, I will check all the wires leading into the coil again just to confirm when i get off work.
Thanks

Will it start in Tempe ? (lol. sorry.)

Hey I live in Mesa too, I haven't see you out on any of the trails though. I'm on a yellow EC200, do lots of riding at Sycamore.

As for no spark with the plug, did you do this in a a lit area? Sometimes it can be really tough to see the spark if you're not in the dark.

That's all I've got.

Have you tried starting it in any other states ?

Sorry, I couldn't resist

What Could Have Gome Wrong?

Just got back from my workshop. and did what GMP (thanks man ....) advised you.
I Press the kill switch a few times and there were spark on the coil wire when i kick start.
Actually i just replace the piston and rings. which worn out after the last race. The engine started just fine. I was very happy cause we were planning to trail ride on 22nd and 23rd.
To my disapointment it just refuse to start the next day.
We spent the next 3 days trying to figure what could have gone wrong.
So I open the website and saw your posting. After reading your problem I went throug GMT's posts and immediately ran straight to the workshop.

So my bike will be fine by tomorrow. And I will definatelly kill the kill switch I guess.

Why dont you try GMT advice again. Hope it will work. Take a look at the kill switch again. It could have jammed.
