2018 xc300 starter update
 

Update on the POS starter. Previous work-
All cables upgraded.
AS3 bendix cover with allen head bolts & thicker gasket.
New bendix with lighter spring modification.
Converted to a 24v system(x2 Li-ion batteries).
Wet modification.
This worked most of the time, especially once at full operating temp.
But it let me down recently. So did some checks & the bendix was still binding.
So reduced the shaft on each end of the bendix so I could fit a teflon coated copper bush in the bendix shaft housing at each end.
Spent a day riding & it spins up better than it ever has(so far).

So how much time and money did that soak up??

Mine was about $1100 in total BUT it's been working a treat!

Would be about the same.Lost track of the hours spent on it.
