New leftover 2001 CR500 being taken out the crate
I saw this on Allthingsmoto and I thought it was cool.

What does everyone think about that?;)
I think they should keep it unpacked. It's already quite old and older it gets the more value it has like that (collectible). I don't think there are many like that left.
No value in a box. Give it to some 16yr olds and tell them to try wheelie practice. Be good for them to learn some humility. Sure would have done me some good if I weren't so perfect.
Well I have mixed feelings about it. Its a dirt bike and meant to be ridden, however it is also a collector piece. I doubt my wife would let me display it in the living room.
Its a tough call, but you can't hear that big 500 growl with it tied up in the box.
I don't know where I heard this. Sorry for not giving credit. :o
3 things to do before you die (in no particular order): - Make peace with your maker. - Find the love of a good woman. - Ride a CR500. :D |
It's a mass produced dirtbike, not a works racer or historic one off. Someone could have years of enjoyment out of that beast if they can get parts, ride it :D
