rear brake mounting bracket crossover or upgrade

I am wondering if there is a crossover for the rear brake mount or if the new mounts like on a 2011 will fit the older bikes like a 2003?

I believe that they are certainly different part numbers and they appear to be a different shape so I assume that they won't fit. Enduro Engineering do a rear disc guard for the gassers but it only fits 2010-2014 models so I guess a 2011 won't be interchangeable with the older bikes.

It looks like the rear caliper support as they call it is the same for bikes 2001-2008. KTM parts seems to have them for $25 but that seems very cheap compared to elsewhere where they are going for $140.

That is great! Thanks!

We will see if the order goes through.

Hopefully they haven't gone and put the correct name and part number on the wrong part. It's a shame that they don't have a picture of it.

Agreed. I have never dealt with that parts dealer before (especially for GG parts) so I do not know what to expect.

Mc Master has them in a variety of sizes so you can buy the one that fits best without having to bend the pipe mount.

Now I'm a bit confused. You were after the rear brake caliper bracket like this one, weren't you?

Hello, Yes that is the mount that I am looking for.

Sorry for the confusion. I accidentally posted that McMaster response (for a different post) into this post by accident.

After I ordered the mount from KTM-Parts.com and the next day I received the following email.

Maybe they are getting even with me for all or the KTM - Pumpkin Cult Jokes I have made.

philm 04-12-2017 09:56 PM

That's a shame at that price. It looks like neither Motocrosscenter or GreenlandMX have them either so if they can't get them I doubt the KTM place will be able to anytime soon.
