Convert 2012 EC200 to electric start
 

Looking at some parts fiche the 2015 200 came with electric start. Is there any reason I couldn't buy the parts and add it to my 2012 to convert it, I know the motors are otherwise identical.

You may want to reach out to Brett from BonJoe's . He had mentioned of doing this conversion. But it req'd a husky flywheel If memory serves. If you have a 14' 200 the conversion would be very simple. Still the cost is gonna be high. The 2012 cases are different than the following years.(or so I've read)

Hmm, I didn't think anything had changed on the motors the last couple of years.

I'll echo what John said. Call Brett from Bonjoes. Last time I was there he actually had a bunch of older E-start systems in stock from old race bikes. Or just ask him for a price on a '18 300. He has one for a smokin hot deal. Too good to pass up kinda thing.

Thanks guys I'll give him a call. I'm mainly looking at this idea for someone who I was looking to sell the bike to, they really want a bike with electric start.
