That's not good. Hopefully its a small tear and they can repair. If that is what it is I know one gal that had it repaired and she was in a sling for 6 months before they could even start PT on it. It took her over a year to get back to normally.

Rotator Cuff

Well it's been dislocated twice. So who knows. Waiting for mri. Probably after the new year.

I certainly hope its not that long. My son and I are planning a 3000 mile road trip on bikes this summer.

MRI is scheduled for Monday. Then I'll need another appointment for the Dr to charge me...I mean follow-up.

On my exam he said he thought I had a torn labrum.

Very excited. My labrum is not torn off, it does have some minor tears and fraying.

Dr wants me to do PT, but I don't have any restrictions.

Just suck it up. I'll probably get a steering stabilizer to help with jerking of the bars.

Discretion is the better part of valor.

Maybe I should back off some stuff.

Either way first race is March 26th

I am starting Insanity to get into shape.

THAT is good news. I encourage you to DO the recommended PT as well. I have PT'ed my shoulder 3 times and have avoided surgery.

Originally tore my rotator cuff 15 years ago when I wadded up landing a big triple. No more big hucks for me LOL.

I saw supposedly "the best" shoulder guy in So Cal, and he said he has bilateral torn rotator cuffs and plays tennis every day with pain, but is putting surgery off until absolutely necessary. I tore it 2 more times since, but I do the PT exercises 4-5x a week and that keeps the pain to a minimum.

good luck in your rehab. Strong muscles around your joints help protect them for sure

Glad to here you don't need surgery. I sure hope you do buy a steering stabilizer as that can save your shoulders. I am going to get one this year as my shoulders wont take another hard hit and I am not much for riding Quads. They are great for hunting but I just cant see my self riding one in the woods.

Definitely getting the stabilizer. I pick it up today from my local shop. It's a WER. Used. Just need to mess around with the mounts.

Get yourself one of these and use it for a few minutes every day.http://www.shoulderhorn.com/
