Possible Direct bendix swap for 2011-2014 2T

So digging around on the internet i came a cross a bendix that looks identical to the one required for me 2011 ec250. So it could possibly be a drop in replacement for a fraction of the cost.

Back story is thst I just bought a 2011 ec250 with the bendix missing.

Its listed as a bendix from a Polaris trailboss 250 2-stroke and i would have to thing that gasgas outsourced this part from somewhere.

I'm going to order it and I'll let you guys know if it works. Stay tuned

Awesome, I wish I could thank whoever directed me to Honda scooter bendix's years ago. Been using a cheap Honda clone bendix ever since.

Yup well reading into that mod with the ch80 spring swap got me thinking about other options and that was my original plan, until I pulled the cover to discover there was no bendix at all. Lol

Hmm, the starter engagement gear looks close. I'm eager to hear if it is a match or not.

Ok guys well it was a failed experiment. But as others have done in the past. I ended up buying the SMU5009 bendix. Clearanced the cover and shorted the shaft slightly. And it worked perfectly. I've done 3 hare scrambles with it and never ket me down in any of them. I feel like it's the best option for my generation engine .
