03 EC 250 headlight bulbs ?
 

Hi guys,

I have an 03 ec250 and the headlight was working before it fell off the truck and I just noticed yesterday that it doesn't work anymore.
I friend was going to replace the bulb for me but we noticed it has 2 and also the the way the wires hook up are different then the bulb he had.

My question is....what bulbs do I need and where can I pick them up?

The larger bulb is your main bulb, has the hi/low beam,, the little one is a euro thing,, its a "parking light" and keeps the light on when the main is off.. most of these are burnt out and nobody notices(or cares) replace your main bulb,, and if that doesnt fix it check all your connectors and/or wire harness for damage from the drop..

The little parking light you can get at an auto parts store that carries OEM European lamps for cars. The large one you can get at many motorcycle shops. I used to get them at Hinshaws for $1.99

Little bulb part # is a Sylvania 3893 ( T4W )

Large bulb part#through Hinshaws is BU123535B and is a 12 V 35/35W

There are also 60/60W bulbs with the same base and size as the 35/35W bulb. My '04 EC300 powers the 60 watt bulb just fine, the stock headlight reflector and lense have no problems with it, and it gives a MUCH better light than the puny 35 watt bulbs. They are kind of hard to find, but they are out there.
