New Helmet
So I'm in the market to replace my Airoh aviator. I've grown to like the light weight, but find on long rides it's starting to pinch my ears. I've switched out the padding w/ new, still not happy. Any suggestions?

I use the following chart to help me find helmets as I have a narrow oval head, and most of the popular (read: affordable) helmets are round.
https://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcy...nternal-shape/ Looking at the chart, the Airoh Aviator is slightly narrow, which leads me to believe that you have a round(ish) head, so you probably want to look for a helmet in the neutral to slightly round sections. It looks like the Airoh Terminator is a rounder shape, and it's still pretty light (as far as dirt helmets go). What size is your Airoh? You know, just in case it's still in good shape and you might be considering selling it... :) |
I'm a long time Airoh customer.
I recently switched to the LS2 Subverter. The venting is amazing. You can actually feel the air flow. Fit is great. Just heavy, compared to the Airoh. |
I'm currently using a Kali Shiva 2.0. It's super light, has good venting, and has up to date safety tech. I've been real happy with it. Airflow isn't as good as my previous Klim F4 but nothing can compare with the F4 when it comes to ventilation.

I like the Suomy, have a round wide head. it is light and comfortable. Go try one on.

I have always worn Shoei but last year I bought a Leatt 5.5 GPX. The Leatt is very light and the venting is AMAZING.

Hello,
I have the KYT STRIKE EAGLE, it's the best i ever had! |
My sons and I have oval heads. Shoei does not fit and give us pressure points around the crown and sides. Arai is the only helmet that fits well and they are very light. They are expensive but they are excellent helmets! How much is my head worth is the question.
