1998 Stator wattage and info
 

So I have a 98 EC250 and its been stripped of her lights. I want to add some LED headlights In my bike, the stator has 3 wires. What's in this thread. 2 Yelows and a pink. Originally, the bike was wired a yellow to gnd, Pink to Regulator. Wires were melted and shorted. But I measure the windings and get about same Ohm readings between all. I'm assuming its a Open Delta type of configuration or split phase? Pink being center point, Yellow to pink is X volts and other yellow to pink is also X, where yellow to yellow is XX volts?. What I want to know, is what is the wattage of each winding? if anyone knows. So I can closer match my lighting draw and not have the regulator constantly dumping and over working it.

Also, whats the max wattage of the stock regulator? I don't care that it's AC, I will rectify after. I just want a stable 12v

Bike will not be street legal, just want/need great night vision

I have a .xps document file of the Ducati Style wiring diagram.
I don't think it shows the output, but, it shows how the old system
was wired together.

Thx again Jeff. That did help. The stator IS what I thought it was. Wattage now is the TBD part just to be safe. I ended up wiring between the yellows (both windings) as that made the most voltage at idle. But I am leery as to the stock regulator able to dissipate the extra juice. So I'll go back to single winding for my LED's for now until I can verify winding wattage

As I recall the wattage was 125W or 150W.
