2010 ec250

I am picking this bike up on Friday. Any advice, opinions, etc., anybody care to share about it? I also own a Gas Gas trials bike but it is much older.

Thanks!

This pic is at the owners house, I'll get better ones once I get it home.

that pipe looks so nice and clean, best fit a P3 guard on it if you riding rocks, and check the rollers on your chain guide if you have that type

I think the '10 GG with the black/red is one of the best looking years. Good luck and welcome to the forums.

Where are you located?

Looks like Pa ? I have the same bike, great bike!

SW Pa about an hour SE of Pittsburgh.

Thanks for the tips folks. I'll check those things out. I was already scoping out pipe guards :D .

Depending on what the previous owner had done, there are a few things you'd want to check/modify to improve the bike.

Engine wise - Squish adjustment. Stock clearances are huge. Someone like Mikes Cycle Playground or RB Mods will do a good job and be able to provide more info. Someone else suggested checking the clearance on the water pump cover. Probably not a bad idea to pull the RHS cover and check the PV tension at the same time. Once the heads setup the bike will be much easier to jet. Lots of recommendations but being a 2010 model you'll need to confirm which series carb is in it. Those sachs forks have a pretty harsh mid stroke spike which any decent tuner should be able to clear up for you.

My 2010 model has racked up 260hrs/8000kms all without any issue and with nothing more than a bit of maintenance. Pistons every 80-100hrs. Like Fred said, great bikes!

The previous owner told me this:

"Mods are suspension setup for 210lb rider, head re-machined, guts seat."

What he means by head re-machined I don't know exactly. I will ask him next time I see him.

Picked it up tonight. It's a friend of mine and he said he would wash it. This is his idea of clean LOL.

He gave me the stock seat foam/cover, the stock handguards, the manuals, and the Gas Gas fanny pack/tool pouch.

Edit: Forgot it has radiator braces on it too.
