Dellorto 28 on my GG?

Hi all
i'm wondering, what if i install dellorto 28 on my EC300? What result should I expect?

Erm. Better fuel economy maybe. Worse fueling compared to the superior pwk. And lots less performance from idle upwards.

Fit the right needle to the pwk. Read posts on needles.
And machine the head to get it better still.

One Question...

Why?

Maybe assuming trials bikes use them. But a 250 trials put out like 15hp or less. Really. Totally different power and they have way different configuration.
But even on them a 28mm pwk is an improvement.
They have tiny reed valves and don't need the airflow.

I just have one) And winter is coming)))
I was told that with smaller carb i will get more buttoms, but lost power at top and. I think - i ride at half throttle (not more) all the time, and mayby small carb is what i need?!

Conventional wisdom says so. to a point.
But no. Nothing good will come of it. I promise.

However for the small outlay of a better needle you will find huge gains in part throttle power and usability. Head mod would bring further still.

A sprocket here, a sprocket there... much quicker to simply gear it down if you want more grunt off idle and are happy to sacrifice your top end.

If you already have this carb....Why not?

And trials bike put something around 20-25HP...with more torque than you can imagine.

Because it won't fit at all well. Think about it for a tiny minute.

Also people totally misunderstand 'torque'.

Its not a mystical force separate from horsepower. They are directly linked. (x rpm/5252)

The torque at the rear wheel is the important part. Which is why a supersport 600 has way more torque than a Hardley.
