2012 GasGas Subframe Snapped
Hi all.
I have snapped the one side of the plastic subframe. I crash a LOT so instead of just replacing it, i'm looking into alternatives. Has anyone done the conversion from the 2012 Plastic subframe to the Ali one? I assume i would need a new seat too (for the battery compartment) if i do this conversion? Or, would it maybe be more feasible to remove the plastic subframe bits and take them in to have Ali replicas built? Has anyone done anything like this? |
FDB,
I too have the 2012 and you are right in saying that you will need a new seat. Anything from 2013 onwards I think from memory. Which isn't a bad thing as those 2014,15 seats look so nice and soft. Josh |

All the GG seats are like Spanish Inquisition torture devices. Buy a guts racing tall seat, it is the best money that you will ever spend on a gasser.

Sounds like you all just sit too much!

I pretty much never sit while riding. But I want my seat soft when I stop!

+1 ..first item I purchased after getting the bike |
I installed the alum subframe conversion kit on mine.
The kit price was very reasonable, comes with seat, side panels, lower frame covers, most hardware. Only needed to get several bolts to install. Some ran into problems with the 12 fuel tank not clearing the alum subframe, mine fit fine. Maybe the kit might come with the 15 seat now? The 15 seat is much more comfy. |
Hamilton,
I like the sound of that kit you mention.. Can you remember what it cost you? Josh |
