2001 ec200 Rod Bearing Kit
I have seen posts stating that the CR250R Rod Kits will fit GG Bikes.
Can I get you guys to confirm that for my 2001 ec200, a 19XX-XX CR250R Rod Kit will fit my engine? |
Well, Pro-X does not list the 200 on their site at all, so that is not a good sign. :(
|
The 200 has a shorter stroke. So the CR 250 rod won't work.
Any reason why you can't go with the Gas Gas rod? |
No, i tried to call gofasters today to find out what one would cost, they didn't answer, but like most everything else with the gas gas name on it, i am afraid its gonna be expensive.
So i was just trying to find a cheaper more readily available route to the same goal. |
I think an OEM is Vesrah??? Could be wrong.....someone will chime in if..... I'm out of whack!!
|
My parts manifest(07) lists the 200 and 250/300 as having the same part number for the rod kit, ME25612100, so my logic tells me that means their the same, thus if a CR rod fits the 250/300 then it will fit the 200 also.
I guess the different stroke must be in the crank not the rod. |
The parts bbooklet that came with my 2001 lists a rod kit for a 200 but does not list one for a 250 or 300. Unless that means it shares the same one.
Its the same part number as you listed. ME25612100 |
The 200 should be the same as the 250. Here is an explanation on the GG numbering from a previous post....

That is some excellent information. I really appreciate your help with this. That really clears things up.
So I guess I am going to buy a 1984-2001 CR250R Rod Kit and give it a whirl. :) |
