Anyone notice the clamp or lack there of on the intake boot? I don't think his current set up is going to end too well.....:eek:

Good eye, but maybe the design has changed. If the boot is molded into the reed housing, only one clamp would be needed. If it's the same style sleeve as in the past you are correct; dirt getting in there will mess things up.

I looked again and I only see one clamp in front of the carb and one clamp behind the carb. Older bikes have two clamps in front of the carb. The reed boot design must have changed to require only a single clamp.

Our local club had it's annual meeting last night and Rob Lang from Lang's Offroad brought a new GG along. The carb boot is molded as part of the reed assembly so only one clamp is needed. Also the air filter boot has a nice shape and flexes well. It would be real easy to pop the carb on and off for jetting work. Many improvements over the old bikes make the GG a solid choice for anyone in the market for a new bike.
