EC 250 2008 footpegs
Hi guys.. I have really bent and few time welded foot pegs on my 2008 gasser. I have pair of RMZ foot pegs with mounts. I want to cut old footpegs and use those from RMZ. Do you think is it possible to cut threads to frame or it would be better to weld it? I dont know if the frame on my gasser is hollow where footpegs are welded.

It would be better to weld it.
There's not enough material in the frame there to thread into. |

You can use the bolt on foot peg mounts off an aluminum frame dirt bike.
Cut you mounts off and weld the mounts on. |
I found this link on Ebay which includes a WR footpeg mount with the kickstand bracket. You use the holes and edges for welding to the GG frame.
another option is to just get the two smaller YZ mounts that do not include the kickstand bracket. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-Yamaha...sid=m570.l1313 Makes me wonder if this is a good option if you want to get away from the GG switchblade. |
Or you could weld on the later Gasgas frames' bolt-on mounts. I have bolt-on mounts on my 2015, I presume this is the same from 12 to 17.

I already have bolt on mounts from RMZ.. with footpegs... just need to weld them . . thanks guys
