1999 EC 300 (updated body and suspension) Twin Cities MN

This is a copy and paste from last year. I halfheartedly tried selling then and I would say this is another half ass attempt. But I haven't ridden it hardly at all so could be convinced to let it go if someone is in the market.

Bike is located 35 miles east of St. Paul MN. You could call it Wisconsin I prefer the term way Eastern MN.
Asking Price is $2500

Skip down a ways if all you care about are the bullet points of this fine Spanish machine

Chassis/engine base bike is a 1999 Gas Gas EC 300 purchased by myself in 2013.
The day I brought it home

The last registration was is 07. And there are almost no scuffs on the engine cases. Talking to the previous owner I don't think he rode the bike for more than a couple of days.

I rode the bike for a weekend of single track with some friends and immediately fell in love. It was far easier for me to handle in the woods then my previous 06 Husky TE 250. So once I found out that the chassis was the same from 98-2011 and that from the factory you could purchase a kit to update the plastics to the 2011 style there was no turning back.

If you send all of your money to Spain they send you this back via FedEx

And eventually you get this

That was May of 2014. You will notice the front end is now 50mm Marzochii forks and triples from a 2010 Husky. I rode the bike that way for a couple of years mostly MN single track. But life happens and it seems I have now lost all of my riding buddies. Now most of my time is invested in mountain biking and I haven't ridden more than a handful of days in the last 3 years.

If you got here looking for the bullet points here they are. As the bike sits today (7/26/2020).

1999 Gas Gas EC 300 (computer shows 38 hours since installed)
2011 plastics update performed in 2014 set up for tall people. Guts racing tall seat, bar risers
Front suspension from a 2010 Husqvarna TE 250 installed 2014 (forks rebuilt in 2015)
Ohlins rear shock last rebuilt 2015
Ignition system updated to newer style in 2018 (new stator, ecu wiring ect ect)
Currently has Tubliss system in front wheel (rear wheel system included but I never installed)
Trail tech vapor computer
Fredette chain guide
Radiator guards of unknown origin
Chain and sprockets replaced around 2017 probably less than ten hours on them

Included in sale for full asking price
-New Shinko tires 525 rear 216 front (I may install these if I find time)
-Tubliss system for rear tire
-38mm Smart carb cast (Bought used and never got around to installing)
-New spare air filter
-Red and white plastics with graphics shown above only one season of riding on them
-One each red/white polisport plastics new in bag

I'm sure there is far more that I am forgetting but that happens when you own a bike for 7 years.
Please ask questions and I will do my best to answer them.
Price is firm for now. I don't need to sell but I also don't ride this bike anymore.

That's a nice bike, and a good price, considering use and all that goes with the bike.
The radiator guards are also radiator braces. They look like the excellent quality Flatland Racing items.

That looks like a counterbalanced 300? I thought they only made a CB'ed 250 back in the day! A smooth runner, I bet!

ALL THE MOTORS had that hump for a counter balancer (200-300) until they changed the cases in the mid ninety's.

The C.B. case hump continued thru about 2003.

Through 2004. In 2005 they changed the cases.
