Yes plenty of rocks, but there are some interesting variations. The first round is in flagstaff at a OHV area called Cinder Hills. Course black sand from volcanic ativity. I believe it was where the lunur rover was tested.

John, a buddy of mine and I are thinking about coming down for the Camp Wood round #2 if time permits. I love riding that area grew up not too far away.

Come on down! One of my favorite races for sure.

Round one is on September 18 at Cinder hills in Flagstaff. I rode there for the first time this past Saturday. Once again I am reminded as to how new I am to this. This place is made of cinders from a volcano similar but different to sand steep hills hundreds of feet high. The down hills were very intimidating as well.
The Coconino trail riders have supposedly put together a challenging course with plenty of single track weaving though the pines.

I've ridden that area in the cinders years ago, some of the hills are VERY steep. should be an eye opener for sure, but good trails and fun area. Enjoy and maybe we will see ya in Prescott.
