EC 300 Racing 2014 Stator problems

Hi,

I have searched the forum but couldnt find any answers.

I think that my stator is broken. The lights on the bike doesnt work but the bike runs good. I have 0V on the yellow and brown cable at the rectifier. If I ohm measure between thoose 2 cables i get 1,5ohm.

Is the stator burned? What should the Ohm be between the cables?

Can I put the Kokusan stator on? If so, can I take a stator from KTM? I think i should have the Ducati.

The Ducati rotor and stator were only used on the very early GG bikes (when the engines were counterbalanced). I don't know what wiring changes have taken place on the newest bikes, however you should check for AC voltage directly at the stator yellow wire.

You should get a reading of about 13V between the yellow wire and chassis ground with the bike running at a fast idle. If you have power there, then follow through the wires to look for a fault. The most common problem is a broken wire in the headstock area. This happens from the back and forth movement of the handlebars.

I believe a KTM 2T stator can be used if you are willing to change the connections.

You may want to do some research to determine if the older GG units will be a suitable replacement. Here is one of the older units. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Electrosport...pWT~r7&vxp=mtr
