Rings - different by brand?
 

subject bike: 2001 xc300
I'm looking at rings on Motowest dot calm because that's where I got my Athena piston (size A). Clicking on the rings, I see this notation "Piston ring set. Fits all 300 EC,XC,DE,MC models 1999 to 2009 with Wiseco, Vertex, Athena or Wossner piston. Premium replacement part, made in Japan."

I kind of thought that I should specify Wossner as was supplied with the new Athena. But I have a set of OEM rings that I've had since I purchased the bike new.

What's the difference, if any?
