gas gas ec vin number
 

i bought a gas gas ec 300 2009 off a dealer the vin number on the frame does not match the one on the log book. log book number is VTREC3030K1080042 and the frame number is VTREC3030K1080428 can any one help and if it is dodgy where would i stand?

Looks like someone added an extra zero in the log book which left no room for the 8 on the end

I have the same issue with the chassis number on my EC300. The last digit is hidden behind the radiator expansion tank, so they appear to have added an extra zero to the model designation part of the number on the log book, to make it the correct length. Where in the world are you. I've been in touch with GGUK and they have confirmed that my frame number is correct but I now need to try and get the log book ammended.
