Qualifier travel plans

Still looking for anyone between Oregon and TN to share a ride to the qualifiers with.

Any interested party? Any budget minded ideas out there to share?

Don't forget Mike you got a stopover spot here if you need it

Fred, you are high on my plan list.
My desire is to drive to TN, race, drive to your house and leave my crap there. Hitch a ride to the airport for round trip travel to mi casa and back for a trip to MO to race, then head home. This of course is per our previous conversations. I'd have to spend Monday cleaning my bike, changing tires, air filter, and oil. Basically get it ready for the MO qualifier, since I won't have any other time. Hoping I could catch a Monday evening flight.

My dilemma: My truck with stuff in it gets 10mpg. Probably better, but I'm going to be making time, not driving for fuel economy. Round trip at 10mpg, assuming $3.00 per gallon equals $1800 in gas. It frankly will completely blow up my budget if I do that, so I'd like to find at least two others to do this with me. Only one has shown interest, and he just wants me to haul his bike and pay me a flat fee. I can't charge him half, and I don't want to drive all that way by myself. Certainly there are some other privateers out there on a budget like me. I just need to find them.

Have you tried posting this question on other forums??? Thumper Talk, um...KTM Talk where I would be surprised if you didn't get some interest?

Gotta do what you gotta do. Hope it works out for you!!!

I'm with ya Mike. Remember Nortwest Arkansas Regional is 15 minutes from the house, but you might get a better price out of Tulsa International. I'm within 30 minutes of Tulsa every day so get your best price. If I can do anything else to help with prep or whatever let me know. My guy here at the shop that is my bike/ATV tech can clean and service if you like. I know some guys are very particular about that, or we can haul it to the shop and you can work on it yourself while waitng on flight. Keep me posted and looking forward to it. I also agree with Skidad, cross post your idea, heck even the guys at punkintalk.com have gas money ! LOL !! Also check out cafehusky.com

Thanks for the advice guys. I have cross posted on thumpertalk, cafehusky, omraoffroad.com (local), but I forgot about ktmtalk. They are next.

Like I said before, they don't have to be from Oregon. Anywhere in between would help. The one guy who wants me to haul his bike found me on omraoffroad.com. I used to race with him years ago. He has been to the ISDE a couple of times and had some great advice. On his advice, I'll be riding E-2, rather than E-4. He gave me some good encouragement as to my chances, and to try to get to TN and MO. Not just to haul his bike.
