Cooling fan on XC300

I have PTech rad guards/frames on my 2019 XC300 and they have the mounting holes for a SPAL fan. I bought a fan and was wondering if anyone has done this on their bike. The rad hose and thermostat seems to be in the way and would be rubbing on the fan. I'm not sure what to do. I'm only thinking I need the fan as last fall a couple of times my bike boiled after a climb and my old 2010 300 Nambotin never did!

I fit up some silicone hoses and deleted the thermostat. Mounted the fan on the right hand side down low.

I got the fan on,removed the thermostat and put the thermoswitch holder in place. I had to cut and wrangle the hose to fit. But it is rubbing against the fan housing. Do I have to worry about it rubbing and wearing a hole in the hose? I had to put a plug in place of the switch because they forgot to send the switch!

Since you're tight on space, you can move the temp switch to the left side.

I did this - shortened the right hose, and installed a temperature sensor in the left hose.

You can trim a little off the 90 degree bend at the bottom to keep it away from the fan too.

I did shorten the hose from the engine and put a piece of pvc pipe over the hose to protect it.

So I never did get the thermo switch from the guy I bought the fan kit from. So I ordered one off of fleabay and installed it. The spec for this switch is supposed to be 85c(185f) on but it turns on at around 75c(167f) and doesn't shut off until around 60c(140f)! The switch that was supposed to come with the kit specs at 100c(212f) on and 90c off. I can't seem to find a switch anywhere. I think it is coming on too soon and staying on too long. I am trying to get the right switch from the guy but he is very difficult to get in contact with. Solutions? or should I not worry?

I don't run a thermostat and find that the engine stays around 130F all the time. Might be a bit low but I don't worry about it. Provides lots of cooling headroom if needed.

I took out the thermostat also as I needed room for the switch manifold and the temperature sensor on my Voyager.
