GasGas 250 EC 2014 Nordic, flywheel removal

Turning the bolt clockwise or counterclockwise to loosen it.

The nut on the ignition side turns counter clockwise to loosen and remove.

I use this tool to keep the fly wheel and crank shaft from moving when breaking the nut loose: https://www.harborfreight.com/lockin...amp-36813.html

You will need a fly wheel puller to remove the fly wheel. Hope this helps.

Thanks :)

The crank nut on the other side of the engine (clutch side) is left hand thread, smothered in Loctite, and heavily torqued.

Interesting. There is obviously different ignitions on the newer bikes. My 2011 with Kokusan 2K3 is for sure M27x1.0 LH (I just got out the puller to confirm it).

I know my 2010 and 2013 both use LH, but neither have e-start. I think I recall n_green needing a RH puller.

He has a 2011E start and is was LH, and his 14 model is RH. I'm not sure when it all changed, but I think 14 went to a new crank so maybe that was the change point?
