Need Heavy Springs for Old 2000 GG

Hello,

I am setting up a suspension on a 2000 (WP43 and old longer Ohlins shock) for a friend who is a big guy 6'3" 280 lbs. He is new to off road riding, Race Tech says I need 4.5 fork springs and 6.5 kg/mm shock spring.
Is it me or does that fork spring rating seem light?

Any help of info would be helpful.

It does sound a lite. I am 265 and have 48 in mine. When we were setting up my friend 2001 46 replace the original 42 and his weight was 210.

Race tech has always been pretty spot on for me.

Thank you for the info. Are the 48s working well for you?

I ended up with 4.8 fork springs and 5.6 rear.

They seem to match pretty well.
