Pilot jet question AS1

Getting back into riding after 10 years off. I have a new to me 2010 EC300. Air screw has no effect, can turn it all the way in still runs. Is this too rich needing a smaller pilot jet? Thanks,
Trailrider

Have a search for jetting threads matey. More than likely float height is too high and it still has the standard rubbish needle. N3EG works well in them.

Or RM250 NEDJ. Put one in a mates 10. He was sceptical but now won't shut up about how much difference it made. Try clip 2 from top.

Did the 2010 have a As1 or 2?

Pilot jet question AS!

Thanks for the help guys. I will check the float level along with the pilot jet.

Good point Nate. His 10 had as AS2 (top held on by screws). It was supposedly a 6Days but I have heard the transition from AS1 to AS2 wasnt clear between markets.

More importantly check if the needle is the std N1FE. If it is cut it in 1/2 with some stout cutters so you aren't tempted to use it.

I can't overstate this step.

Spend the $20 on a needle , which depending on which style carb you have.

I believe that's N1EF that you meant to say in the statement above. I agree with you about the advice to get rid of it and go to a better jet needle (such as the NECW, or some other recommended needle. )

This is still funny and awesome advice no matter how many times I see it. They must have had a shipping container full of the mongrel things.

Probably Keihin ship them all with this unless you pay the $43 document fee to change the needle type.
