LED Headlight- anyone try one of these on a Gasser?

I've got one in my husky and it's awesome. 3000 lumens, draws less than a stock bulb, waterproof and fan cooled. For the price I don't know how you can beat it. And the beam pattern is awesome, at least in my husky. |
I hadn't yet but was planning on doing so soon. advmonster also has their own version.

I have on on my 2011 GG. Wicked bright.
No issues at all with the fan getting fouled with dust or dirt. |
Which bulb did you use gasgasman? I have a 2011 300ec and would like to upgrade my lighting. Is it a plug and go bulb? Thanks
|
The cyclops comes with 3 different bases and yes, it's plug and play. Another benefit besides less draw and 5x more light- vibration and waterproof! They claim 10x the life of a halogen bulb.

I went with the H4 kit and the rectifier . I wired mine on the low beam connectors. The wiring butt connectors are junk. You will need to get some heat shrink butt connectors. |
I have the 2k2 ignition on my bike. I believe it's only 35 watts. Is this enough to run this system?

Yes. Requires very little watts. Mine lights while kicking the motor over.

It's a voltage regulator, not rectifier.
I guess you don't need the rectifier, according to Cyclops on the KtmTalk discussion |
