FAN KIT FOR EC300 question

Hi all
Wanting to install fan on my gg. But it's not original kit. So i wondering what "voltage rectificator from AC to DC" is for, and can i install fan without it?

The fan is then most likely a DC fan. What model of bike do you have? Only the last models have DC system. If you have any older bike you must install the rectifier since it has an AC system..

the fan is the one that comes on the GG trials bikes.

I have one on mine, but since it does not have the battery i have the rectifier. I will find out what information is posted on the unit later today.

That rectifier should be an easy install. The black and red are your DC output to the fan. The yellow and white wires are for AC. You need to locate the yellow wire that comes out of your stator and connect into that circuit with the yellow wire on your rectifier. The white wire on the rectifier is then grounded to complete the circuit. The fan will run whenever the engine runs.

In the kit there is a thermoswitch you can add to the circuit. Put it in series with the white wire. This will let the thermoswitch ground the rectifier to create your DC for the fan. This is the way the kit is intended to be used so the fan engages only when the coolant reaches the temperature limit.

On the AC input it does not matter if you hook up the wires opposite (connect the white and ground the yellow).

I fitted a handlebar switch (the same as the map switch) and turn it on when the going gets tough or v slow

With the fan fitted (but not turned on) the bike will boil easier as the fan cowling will reduce natural airflow so once fitted remember to use it

Thanks all, but i don't understand - should i install rectifier with fan, or i can install it without rectifier?

You should use the rectifier.
