Isde

It doesn't appear that the ISDE is all that popular on this site, same with most American sites, however, if there is interest here is a link to the scoring and some other info:

Thx Brent for the link.
You'd think anyone with a new or old 6 days would be all over that.:D

I am not sure why 6 days is unpoplar in the US. It is only international off road event in exsistance of it's kind. Country vs Country, it is just flat awesome.

www.amadirectlink.com has some info as well. You have to dig for it but it's there.

I hear ya...It was called the ISDT (International six days Trials) up till 1980.Then they changed it to ISDE (Enduro). I think it even came to the States once when I was around 15 yrs old.

It's the same with the SSDT not much interest at all over here.http://www.cafehusky.com/smilies/excuseme.gif

it used to be the chit, but everything is mx over here. It was run in massachusetts in 72, 0r 73 and I think they did one out in the midwest oklahoma maybe??? Local woods riders pay attention but thats about it. its all about the benjamins .... mags follow the mx scene cause thats where the money is.

Berkshires, MA 1973 - 30yr reunion ride

I agree I don't understand why it's not more popular. I'd love to volunteer and work one some day if nothing else.

It was held here downunder in 06.What an awsome event.Cheap/cost nothing to watch and get up close to the riders and teams. The pits were great watching riders repair stuff in record time.
The slimy jungle sections were good to see but the best was the last day on the mx track. Those bikes were driven to their extreme limits over masive jumps.
I see now why the 300 2t has become so popular worldwide.
We were lucky to have the event here.Long live the ISDE.

ISDT(E) to me is still Da Bomb. Has been since before I was even into my teenage years (now 54:() Tried my hand at qualifiers years ago but didn't have the speed or the money to keep at it. It WAS my big dream at one point to ride the Six Days for the US. Nice badge of honer to have no matter how well you do IMO. Jeff Fredette has ridden 30 consecutive ISDT's with ZERO dnf's which is absolutely amazing in my book. Going for # 31 I assume this year in Finland.

I still get upset over not going to watch the 73 Six Day in my own state of Massachusetts because I was so concerned about the new Spanish class I was taking (and failed anyway ) Right in my own backyard a couple hours away and I missed it. Total bummer really.

Love it and follow it every year hoping for that elusive Trophy Team win or an American rider to overall the dam thing.....finally. Caselli was OH SO close in Chili leading for 5 days only to loose it on the 6th day to the GP MX rider Johnny Aubert. Dam, that must have stung a bit.

Really would like to see them change the format back to much harder trail sections that take points and with less emphasis on MX and extreme tests. Yeah I'm old school but still love the event, Euro GP MX and MX de Nations also.
